Who We Are
Home Not Alone Caregiver Services, Inc. was founded in 2008 by a Pittsburgh, PA Dental Surgeon, Dr. Kal Daoud and Occupational Therapist, Peggy Mathews. From the beginning, the Agency developed a reputation for providing quality community services to people with intellectual disabilities, the aging and adults with disabilities.
Kal and Peggy believe that every human being has the natural right to enhance their development and maximize their achievement toward self-determination, self-sufficiency and independence in the least restrictive, most humanistic and normalizing environment available to them.
Home Not Alone Caregiver Services, Inc. continues to provide quality community services to people with intellectual disabilities, the aging and adults with disabilities.
Home Not Alone Caregiver Services, Inc. (HNA) is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for all adults. We are committed to providing appropriate opportunities that will enable Participants to maintain an active and meaningful life in their residence and community. Qualified and experienced staff ensure that appropriate care is initiated and implemented to promote dignity and increased independence for the Participant.
Our guiding principle is that individuals with disabilities should have the opportunity to live like people without disabilities. They should have the opportunity to be employed, have a place to call home and be engaged in the community with family and friends.
Individuals with disabilities should have control over their own day, including which job or educational or leisure activities they pursue.
Individuals with disabilities should have control over where and how they live, including the opportunity to live in their own apartment or home. Living situations that require conformity to a collective schedule or that restrict personal activities limit the right to choose.
Our Vision is to be part of a world without barriers, where everyone has the opportunity to make choices.
